Friday in Senlis, Saturday in Coye-la-Forêt

Ben, Kathy, Thierry, and Manou at the Senlis market

Friday morning we walked into Senlis for the market. We came home with too much tea — a fancy little shop, the kind where you come out with more than you intended — and a fish that wasn’t the one we asked for. Manou ordered a bass and got a dorade after it was cleaned. Thierry didn’t blink, and roasted the dorade for dinner.

Saturday afternoon Kathy was in the garden with Manou, being productive. Ben went out to pick up palettes for Thierry, did a little shopping with Manou, and started in on dinner. Duck, raspberry sauce, the rest of the trimmings. Thierry grilled the duck; Manou braised endives. After dinner we walked through the woods and back into town to a wine bar with the two of them and let the evening run a little late.
