A morning at the abbey — the kind of place where you walk and don’t talk much. A concert in the afternoon, fabulous world music by the Saiyuki Trio supplemented by an American drummer and a balafon player from Mali.


Then home to taste Pablo’s beers; he’s Manou and Thierry’s son who is a brewer at a craft brewery in Bordeaux, and we tasted two.

Manou made a vegetable tart for dinner. The rest of the evening went to packing, sadly.
